Aluminium Roller Shutters

Swastik's Aluminium roller doors are very popular amongst our customers and can be used in commercial and industrial situations. These doors are durable and deliver a lightweight protection solution. They are available to fit most apertures, and can be supplied in a finish to suit your needs. Aluminium Roller Shutters are resistant to corrosion, exposure & light weight.

This product is available as a shutter to fit your building, or can be offered as a built - in solution for new build properties. Primary structural component of roller shutters is the curtain consisting of aluminum Double Wall extruded profiles.

Like most of our shutters, the Aluminium Shutters can be operated using a single or three-phase side motor or can also be supplied in a manual option (depending on size and usage). Being of Aluminium construction, these roller shutters are much lighter than their steel counterparts.

  • Large range of Aluminum Shutters offer a secure and weatherproof solution to safeguarding large or small openings.
  • Traditionally gives a better cosmetic appearance to that of a steel shutter.
  • Lighter than a steel shutter so easier and less energy needed to operate them.
  • Comes in mill silver finish, but can be powder coated or anodized in a number of shades for a surcharge.

Curtain

The curtain is constructed from extruded aluminium made out of 1.lmm thick double wall hollow sections continuously interlocked steel slats that are securely held in place by end locks. The round & hollow profile of the slat gives better stability and strength to the slat and is ideal for large shutters.

Guides

Vertical guides are formed from pressed steel fabricated 2.5mm to 3mm thick or Aluminium extruded sections 2.5mm thick as per the size of the door height. The top end of the guide is given a bell mouth shape so as to enable smooth entry for the shutter when in operation.

Endplate

Special aluminium sections made specifically for Aluminium Shutter profiles are extruded from l.lmm thick material.

Brackets

Mild Steel 3mm or 2.5mm thick material is re-enforced with 25x5mm flats. Heavier bracket plates are made as per IS6248 upto 10mm. Height of the bracket plate varies on the shutter height and is custom made for each shutter.

Shaft

Our shafting barrels are made from a seamless steel tube of maximum thickness ranging from 4.5mm-6mm and suitable diameter to counteract deflection. Counter balance springs are used for manual/mechanical operated shutters. Motorised shutters are operated without springs.

Hood Cover.

As a standard, we use only 0.9mm Galvanised hood Covers for all types of doors.

Finish

Comes galvanized with non-galvanized parts prime painted as standard. Customers can choose to have a polyester powder coating in a range of standard RAL colours at an additional extra.

Mode of Operation

A single phase side motor is used for small to medium sized shutters and a three phase side motor is used for large shutters. These are indirect drive motors which are used without counter balance springs and work seamlessly without any problems. Adjustable limit switches are incorporated to stop the shutter at the end of each travel.

All Motors are equipped with a standard control which includes a open-close-stop bottons on a push button switch or a key switch which gives a restricted access operation on the door. Additionally, a Key Switch or a Remote can be provided as an alternate opening solution.
